Kellie M. Martin, a native of the United States is an American television and film actress. She is best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. She is also known for being the main character in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin is born to a department store buyer and kindergarten teacher, started her career in acting when she was seven when her aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's children was able to help Martin to get her a character in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". In the years following her Yale University graduation, she started to focus on acting and was able to get major roles on both television and cinema. Martin is, in addition to being an actor, is also a skilled photographer as well as a ballet dancer. Two-time mother, Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been raising awareness about the condition since her sister died at the age of 19.
