Kellie martin is an American film, television and stage performer. Her most notable roles include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On); and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". She is also known for playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her acting career when she was just seven when her aunt, who served as a nanny for Michael Landon's children helped her land her a role in the series of 1982 "Father Murphy". In the years following her Yale University graduation, she started to focus on acting and was able to secure significant roles on the film and television industries. Martin has also been as a dancer and photographer. Her sister who passed away due to Lupus aged 19 inspired her to become the Lupus the national spokesperson.
